The Aviation Historical Society of Australia (Qld) Inc. strives:-
Monthly meetings are held in Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney. These meetings also usually feature a guest speaker addressing an aspect of Australian aviation history.
An annual public lecture known as the John Duigan Memorial Lecture is held in Melbourne and features a talk on a significant aspect of Australian aviation history.
In Sydney, a similar annual event is known as the Arthur Butler Memorial Lecture and also features a notable guest speaker every year.
- - To encourage and assist the research and writing of Australian aviation history
- - To record the achievements of Australian aviation and its people
- - To provide a forum for the discussion of events in Australian aviation history
- - To preserve documents and artifacts significant to Australian aviation history
- - To liaise with other relevant organisations to further the aims of the association.

We meet on the last Friday of the month (except Dec) in the historic Terminal Building at Archerfield Airport, 381 Beatty Road, Brisbane. Members can also "join" the meeting on Zoom.A guest speaker is arranged for each meeting, and their presentation is recorded on both video and audio.
